Whilst a machine polish is very effective at removing most defects it really depends on the damage of the paintwork. It depends on how deep the blemish has gone into the car’s paintwork. There are three layers of paint, the clear coat, base coat and the primer coat. Most defects will affect the top layer called the clear coat. But if you have stone chips they could have gone as deep as the primer even into the cars body panel.
That I suppose depends on how much you love your car! But it is recommended that you do a machine polish twice a year with a Hand Polish, HD wax or Ceramic Protection in between (every three months).
First, we wash and dry the car’s exterior paintwork. Then we clay bar the paintwork to remove any imperfections. Then the car gets an all over machine polish. When we are finished the car will have a showroom shine again!
